Dr. Maurina Brooks is a native of Columbus, Ohio, and a proud alumna of The Ohio
State University, where she received both her Bachelor of Arts and her Doctorate of
Dental Surgery degrees.
She began her dental career at a young age working as a dental assistant throughout
high school. In 2013, Dr. Brooks received her BA degree in Spanish with a minor in
Biology. During her doctoral studies, Dr. Brooks served as chapter president of the
Student National Dental Association, participated in numerous community service
events, and received multiple awards for her community outreach efforts and
professional conduct. Before moving to Texas, she served two terms as Vice President
of the Columbus Association of Dentists, the local chapter of the National Dental
Association (NDA), and most recently received the NDA's inaugural "40 under 40"
award.
Dr. Brooks is passionate about creating beautiful smiles, especially with clear aligner
therapy. She is a certified Invisalign® provider and an active member of the Academy of
General Dentistry (AGD). Dr. Brooks takes time to earn the trust of her patients in order
to develop lasting relationships, and is well known for her commitment to excellence,
attention to detail, and caring chairside manner.
When she’s outside of the dental office, Dr. Brooks leads an active lifestyle. You can find
her training at the gym, checking out the newest restaurants or exploring the city with
her husband and mini goldendoodle.
